Woodland Park is located in Teller County, 18 miles west of Colorado Springs along Colorado State Highway 24. This is a beautiful area of rolling hills full of ponderosa pine and grassy meadows and views of Pikes Peak. The area also has a rich history of the Colorado Gold Rush days as it is located along the route between Colorado Springs and Cripple Creek.

There are numerous multi-use paths along the major roadways in Woodland Park for walking and bike riding. There are also paved pathways for walking in Memorial Park and Cavalier Park.

State Highway 24 Multi-Use Path

State Highway 24 is the main road through Woodland Park. There is a paved multi-use path located to one side or the other for over 2 miles.The path goes past many of the restaurants and shopping centers in the city as well as connecting to multi-use path along some of the local streets and the path along Route 67.

The southeast end of this multi-use path system is located along Crystola Road, just south of the Walmart. The northwest end of the path system is located along Highway 24 at Lafayette Street.

Route 67 Multi-Use Path

Route 67 heads north from Woodland Park and reaches as far as Deckers and then heads east to Sedalia near Castle Rock. There is a paved multi-use pathway that follows along side the roadway for over 7-miles. The paved pathway starts at State Highway 24 and stops at Manitou Lake.

The Route 67 pathway travels through the residential areas of Woodland Park, then through the Trout Creek Valley. The trail goes past miles of forested areas and crosses numerous side roads that lead to residential areas or up into the hillsides.
